Have you ever wondered why wave with the department of neuropsychology? What are you doing there? Where is it? ... in this month's issue will provide the most relevant information about this department.

What does the department of neuropsychology?
neuropsychology department offers neuropsychological assessment and rehabilitation to patients of all ages, with or without brain damage that shows changes in psychological processes such as attention, memory, language, etc.

objective is?
Aims to comprehensive patient rehabilitation through individual therapy and family support, lead to an improvement in their quality living and achieve reintegration into their environment, ensuring that it remains a functional and active, giving up social, educational and / or labor.

What is your mission?
neuropsychology services provide the best quality in the north, to achieve rapid and optimal individualized rehabilitation. Also forming highly trained professionals with advanced knowledge in order to meet the demands of our society.

What is the vision?
be the best service in the north neuropsychology, training all our staff in national and international conferences and leading a department committed to continuous improvement.

What
type of patients served?
The type of patients who commonly serve in this department are people with:

Aphasia · generalized cognitive delay
· Disorder Attention Deficit (ADD)
· language disorders
However, there are many other problems that are treated here.

Due to the complexity of psychological processes and the many changes that exist in them, therapists must be creative, empathic, be able to solve problems quickly and most importantly must be original and have a own style.

Who is in charge of the department?
The coordinator position is the Maestro. Marco Tulio Garza, is a graduate of behavioral area and has a master's degree in teaching. He specializes in Ericksonian hypnosis and brief therapy. Has a lot of clinical experience and has participated in numerous national and international lectures, has also taught several workshops and graduate students.

How I can get involved in this department?
Although the department is comprised mainly of students from area child behavioral or conduct his introductory practices here, you do not just belong to these areas. It is possible to approach the department by attending seminars that are held each week, in which mainly addresses issues related to clinical neuropsychology. It is also possible to actively participate in any of the investigations carried out here.

When the seminars are taught?
Every Friday between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm, by any of the supervisors in charge: Prof.. Marco Tulio Garza, MSc. Humberto Olvera or Prof. Téllez. Sandra Meza Cavazos, and also as Anasiria alumni or Nancy Lopez Guajardo Garza Riojas.

What investigations have been conducted in the department?
The department also has a keen interest in research. Some of the topics of research that has been done are:
· Rey figure
· Metacognition
· Learning Disabilities
· Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)
In most investigations that are made here in collaboration with the participating student teachers in charge. Several students have come to have talks and poster presentations at various conferences. I think this is a very important area with great potential for our comprehensive training as psychologists.

neuropsychology department is located on the first floor of the Psychological Services Unit (SHU), a cubicle next to the pre-consultation.
thank my friend Nancy Guajardo Riojas for providing the necessary information the department of neuropsychology. She is a recent graduate of the behavioral area, during his two years of his introductory doing clinical practice in the department of neuropsychology. It has several national papers, some of them on executive functions, Kuzniecky syndrome, among others. And at the international level with a presentation on traumatic brain injury (TBI). Currently works in private practice and personally I consider an excellent and best therapists I know. I also thank MSc.
