Second Thermostat For Wood Boiler

Her letter for Extra Curricular Activities

Sui Generis Journal
Column: Nothing to do ...?
By: Raziel Tovar

You've probably heard (or have said) ever Class comments like - that slack finishing class I go to my house, so I stay if I have nothing else to do, but the reality here in the School of Psychology is another.

For example, in the second half some colleagues and I started to be interested in knowing what else we could do besides routinely attend our classes. For this reason we approached the department of psychophysiology, which is located on the third floor of the laboratory practices. That allowed us to collaborate some time with the managers of the area. We learned some interesting things on circadian rhythms and important aspects involving a scientific investigation and department functions. That same semester, Dr. Cirilo Garcia invited us to work with him in one of its investigations. Served us much because we learned about practical and methodological difficulties that may arise in an investigation.

There are many cultural activities that can be done within the faculty, such as the theater group headed by Renan Moreno. But if you want another kind of theater that is based in psychological theory focused psychotherapy, there is a group "Thresholds" psychodrama, led by Dr. Salvador Aburto. There are also the female and male rondalla directed by Oscar Paez, where you have the opportunity to travel to different states to participate in national competitions rondalla. There is also a salsa group led by Karla Montoya.

On the other hand there are also other academic activities that can play. Some time ago my colleague and friend Elizabeth Chapa told me that all seminars are held on Fridays in the department of neuropsychology. I asked if he could attend but was in basic area and told me no problem. It is often thought to be in basic area can not attend the academic activities carried out in different areas of stress, when the truth is that No problem, just the opposite. The important thing is to learn and know more. No one would shut the doors of knowledge. Another interesting option you have is to help as an organizer in the different conferences offered by the faculty, you learn everything that involves organizing a conference and meet many more people and even the speakers.

Another clear example of what else we can do in college, are the activities of various student groups such as MDE and the DAE. Last semester I went to the brigade "La Chona" in Aramberri, NL, along with the MDE where we could help many poor people also to meet people from different schools of UANL. It was an enriching experience that helps me to broaden my social perspective.

My intention of this space is starting to generate interest in students to participate in extracurricular activities. Because to be trained as professionals we have a comprehensive training and not all of the classroom. Not all are called to participate in research attention, perhaps because they consider it boring or because they find topics of interest. But it need not be. If you propose an idea, many people in college that you probably want to listen and support you if you really want to struggle to carry out.

not everyone likes soccer, music or theater, but no doubt there is any sport or art that you want to do or even teach. It's a question you ask, or better yet, your proposed something of interest to see the variety of extracurricular activities can take place at the school. These are but a few examples of what can be done in college. Later post all other activities in more detail.
